Kids Dance Classes

Kids dance classes take in children as young as two years old. It serves as an introduction to basic movement and rhythm.

It is surprising what a good sense of timing and beat little tots can have and how much they enjoy moving to music.

There are a number kids dance classes for children from the age of four onwards.

They can try anything that catches their interest from ballet, disco and Tap to street Jazz and contemporary.

Dance allows kids to explore their creativity and imagination through movement and helps them to develop co-ordination and rhythm.

It also helps them gain self- confidence and improve communication skills. Many kids dance classes follow a syllabus and conduct exams for various boards. The students can progress from beginners’ level to professional. Kids can have fun but can also enter competitions.

Most classes run for about half an hour to an hour for a couple of days in the week. Naturally the children are expected to practice their steps at home.

Most centers offer the entire range kids dance classes including the latest dance fusion styles that are so popular.

Teachers can help kids learn jazz, urban street, contemporary, salsa, ballet, disco and Flamenco! The children are helped to reach their full potential while they gain poise and enjoy themselves thoroughly.

Ballet is actually the basis for all other dance styles. It helps children to develop strength, muscle tone, posture, grace and musical awareness.

It is a good idea to enroll your child at the age of 4 – 5 in ballet classes. You will see remarkable improvement in balance, style, co-ordination and confidence. Children love disco and freestyle dance which is fast, and funky. Once they have got a basic sense of rhythm and grace, let them learn what they enjoy.
